

STI College ? Southwoods Game Developers Prove 'THEY GOT GAME'
High-caliber students from STI College – Southwoods were recently recognized in the Intel Pinoy Indie Games competition hosted by Intel Philippines and the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP).
Named "The Resty Aldana Team," students Ornel Lloyd P. Edaño, Reynaldo Banaag and Gringo Maquinay of STI Southwoods bagged the second prize from the three-day prestigious game development competition held in Manila.
The winning piece of Endaño, Banaag and Maquinay is called the “Anomalous Maze Dimension,” a game that focuses on a chip that has been broken into four pieces and scattered in an anomalous maze dimension. The mission of the game is to collect all missing pieces within the maze while battling the unstable temperature and various trivia questions behind laser doors.
The Intel Pinoy Indie Games is the ultimate gaming challenge for artists, game developers and computer game aficionados in the country. Each team, comprised of one developer/programmer, graphic artist and sound effects specialist, is tasked to develop a game in the span of three days. Team STI College – Angeles was also qualified to join the finals of the said competition.
