STI, TV5 are one in enriching the students' mind
STI is one with TV network TV5 in a quest to keep the youth informed with the issues the country is facing today.
?
Last October 29, as part of their campus tour, TV5's News and Public Information group visited STI College ? Global City in Taguig and let the students view two of their documentary shows entitled Alagang Kapatid and USI: Under Special Investigation. This activity aims to disseminate information for students to be aware of what is happening outside their homes and schools.

Mitch Andaya, STI's VP for Academics, shared that he is happy to know that TV5 is going beyond the regular programming in producing TV programs that aim to develop the youth's critical thinking by broadening their understanding of current issues. Mr. Andaya furthermore professed that this type of programming is in line with STI's advocacy dubbed as Citizen STI ? an initiative to mold students to become catalysts of positive change.

Alagang Kapatid is a feature documentary health show hosted by veteran news anchor Cheryl Cosim. The show tackles health issues that are plaguing our country today. It aims to not only give relevant information but also to help those people who are suffering from serious illnesses.
?
On the other hand, USI: Under Special Investigation with seasoned host Paolo Bediones is an investigative show which intends to shed light on past and present controversial issues concerning high profile people by digging deeper to the core of the matter.
?
The activity ended in high spirits as the students asked a number of questions after the film viewing which were, in return, gladly accommodated by USI host Paolo Bediones. Evidently, the two documentaries sparked the interest of the STIers.
