

STI Bags Biggest School Contingent in DZMM race
Students from STI College – Taft, along with STI HQ employees bagged the biggest school contingent award in the recent DZMM Takbo Para sa Karunungan held last March 13, 2011 at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.


Proceeds from this fun - run would help 25 deserving young scholars with their day- to- day school expenses. These beneficiaries are incoming grade 1 students from different areas in Metro Manila that were affected by the devastation of Typhoon Ondoy in 2009.
Running from the Quirino Grandstand, all the way to Roxas Boulevard and back to their starting point, STIers actively participated and enjoyed the healthy morning sun as they raced in the 5 Kilometer category of the said event.
After the race, STI Communications Coordinator Karen Ocampo shares "We are very happy that the STI delegation made an impact in today's fun- run especially since this event shares STI's aim of being able to bring higher standards of learning and quality education to the Filipino youth."
A project of the AM Radio station and cable news channel DZMM, together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development and ABSCBN, the marathon was divided into 3K, 5K, 10K and 25K categories. The special 25 kilometer run is made in honor of DZMM's 25th Anniversary.
