STI Triumph - The Olympians beat the Titans

STI shocked AMACU in one of the opening games of the NAASCU 5th Season last July 23, 68-64 to join defending champion University of Manila, New Era University and St. Claire College in the early lead in this tough double-round tournament.

Marlon Martin and Dexter Micutuan scored 18 and 15 points respectively for the Olympians.

Led by Martin, the Olympians impressively came back strong from 11 point half-time deficit, 33-44, to pull the rug from under AMA. The Olympians rallied to a 17-8 third-quarter production that trimmed the gap to a single basket, 50-52, and set them up for a thrilling victory.
