Tagisan ng Talino Now on its 11th Year

Tagisan ng Talino (TNT) is here once again! And this time with a promise to give STIers a more exciting and fun-filled learning experience.

 

Launched in 1999, TNT is an annual academic competition held in two levels – the Regional and National. For the Regional level, schools are grouped in clusters relative to proximity. Cluster winners will advance to the National competition slated on February at the STI Academic Center in Global City, Taguig.

 

 

TNT has two main categories namely the Facts and Flair and the Plates and Palates. Each category is divided into subcategories where STIers can showcase their knowledge, skills, and creativity in various disciplines.

 

Under the Facts and Flairs or the academic competitions are Think Quest (Team Quiz Competition), INTO Programming (Programming Competition), Stand Up and Deliver (Impromptu Speech Competition), BITs and PCs (PC Assembly Competition), and Essay Does It! (Essay Writing Competition).

 

For the Plates and Palates on the other hand, participants will compete in All in Place (Table Setting with Menu Card Preparation), Center of Attention (Edible Centerpiece Presentation), and Chef Xpress (Cooking Competition).

 

Following this year's anniversary theme Citizen STI, TNT will highlight the rich culture and history of the Philippines, from the questions in the quiz contest to the cooking competition menu requirement. This approach aims to awaken the Filipino spirit in each and every STIer.

 

With these kinds of activities, STIers don't only get to showcase their knowledge and skills but moreover, they also get to practice healthy competition and camaraderie.
