STI gives more than 1,000 scholarships to students nationwide
The growing number of out-of-school youth in the country today brings further predicament to our government as it may result into more unemployment. One of the main causes of this is the worsening financial capability of the average Filipino family, whose expenses still focus on the basic household needs.
To address this problem, private institutions are jointly pooling their resources to help the government. One such institution is STI, the country's largest college network, through its annual scholarship grants that aim to provide quality education to needy yet deserving students.
STI will award more than 1,000 scholarship grants to qualified high school graduates for school year 2004-2005. A special exam period, dubbed as the "STI National Scholarship Week", will run from Monday to Saturday, Feb. 23-28, 2004. Resty Bundoc, STI Manager, said students can avail of discounts to help their parents in paying for their college education. Bundoc related STI is committed to quality IT and IT-enhanced education for its students. This coming school year, STI will offer new IT-enhanced courses as well as a job placement assistance program for its graduates as part of its Enrollment to Employment System (E2E System).
The STI National Scholarship Week is now ongoing until Feb. 28, 2004 . Exam results will be posted in different STI schools beginning April 1, 2004 . For more information, interested students can inquire at the nearest STI branch in their area.
The STI Scholarship Week is part of STI's continuous commitment to produce technology-driven professionals here and abroad, regardless of the status in life.
