Equipping STI Learners with SAP Business One Skills
As the country embraces distance education in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, STI ensures that its learners’ competencies are at par with the world-class standards of various industries by incorporating industry-relevant contents into its curriculum. To fulfill its promise of producing job-ready individuals even amid the global health crisis, the institution bolsters partnership with Fasttrack Solutions, Inc. for the usage of SAP Business One Cloud System.
Designed for small to medium-sized businesses, SAP Business One or SAP B1 is an application that manages businesses’ financials, sales, operations, and customer relationships. It helps enterprises streamline end-to-end operations as well as gain instant access to complete information.
SAP Business One Cloud System is part of the curriculum of BS in Information Technology (BSIT), BS in Accountancy (BSA), BS in Management Accounting (BSMA), BS in Accounting Information System (BSAIS), and BS in Business Administration (BSBA) programs. The system is integrated into Systems Integration and Architecture, Advanced Systems Integration and Architecture, Accounting Information System, Intermediate Accounting 2, and Inventory Management and Control subjects.
Within the given laboratory schedules, SAP Business One can be accessed by both students and teachers through Cloud using different devices such as computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.
“We are excited because we are bringing one of the most acknowledged and decorated software product applications known in the world to STI students. SAP Business One would allow the graduates of STI to be more competitive in the Information Technology industry.”
–Kerwin Malabanan, Managing Director of Fasttrack Solutions, Inc.
Organized by STI’s Training Department and Fasttrack Solutions, a training was conducted on January 18-27, 2021 via Microsoft Teams to help the institution’s Business Management and Information Technology professors use the system.
Aside from the SAP Business One training, STI also provides its faculty members with other relevant trainings to further strengthen their areas of expertise. In partnership with Huawei, select Information Technology and Engineering instructors recently participated in a free training and examination for several Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA) Training and Certifications via Zoom.
Taking into consideration the increasing demand for professionals with SAP skills, STI ensures that its students will be armed with the necessary knowledge and skills to help them maximize various employment opportunities.
