NYC, STI Partners for Youth Development

The National Youth Commission (NYC) once again partnered with STI Foundation and the STI network of schools for the second leg of the Voice of the Youth – National Oratorical Competition (VOTY).






NYC's Undersecretary Leon G. Flores III, Chairman and CEO; and Marilou Chua, Division Chief of Social Marketing together with STI's Monico V. Jacob, President and CEO; Elbert L. de Guzman, VP for Communications; and Atty. Robert B. Navarro, VP for Legal Affairs and Human Resource and Organization Development inked the Memorandum of Agreement on September 5, 2011 in Ayala, Makati to seal the renewed partnership.


VOTY is an academic competition that aims to promote critical thinking and fluency in the use of English among select high school students from different private and public schools nationwide. Last year, almost 600 students participated in this nationwide competition and more than 1.6 million worth of prizes were given away.
