STI in the News

STI students proudly took part in the recently held National Food Showdown Competition organized by ABS-CBN Publishing’s Foodie magazine. The event featured exciting activities for professionals and students. Themed “The Making of World Class Chefs,” the event showcased an array of food masterpieces by representatives from different colleges and universities nationwide.

The STI College-Balagtas team competed in the first leg of the competition dubbed as the Chef Wars at Kulinarya, a category that introduces sumptuous Filipino recipes. This event was held at the Magsaysay Institute of Hospitality & Culinary Arts. Subsequent categories took place at the A. Venue Events Hall on September 4 and 5. The STI Pasay team made a mark in the Bar & Dining Challenge under the Table Setting Category, while the team from STI College-Cubao stirred the judges in the Complete Chef: Fruit & Vegetable Carving Challenge.

STI BS HRM and HRS students who participated in the competition were able to gain  world-class experiences that the 3rd National Food Showdown provided. Joining this reputable national tilt is a great step in establishing STI’s venture into this highly-acclaimed event.
